The official College Flag of William & Mary was adopted in 1998 by the Board of Visitors. The flag has a green background with the university's Coat of Arms in the middle of the flag. The flag was presented to the College of William & Mary by William F. Mirguet, Jr., class of 1962 and a former member of the Board of Visitors. A story about the flag was featured in the December 4, 1998 Flat Hat (see p. 4).

A note about the contents of this site

This website contains the best available information from known sources at the time it was written. Unfortunately, many of the early original records of William & Mary were destroyed by fires, military occupation, and the normal effects of time. The information in this website is not complete, and it changes as we continue to research and uncover new sources.
