The William & Mary Hourly and Classified Employees Association (HACE) was established in the summer of 1986. The principal founders envisioned an organization through which hourly and classified employees could work toward common objectives by encouraging and supporting each other in their efforts to enhance their professional growth and development. HACE is the only organization on campus to collectively represent every employee who is not a faculty or student member. Your attendance at meetings helps to ensure a fellowship that produces valuable and rewarding experiences. Membership is open to all hourly and classified employees of The College of William & Mary. Annual dues of $7.00 are payable in January and are not prorated. Only paid members are eligible to vote in HACE business meetings. A Board of Directors, consisting of officers elected annually from the general membership and committee chairpersons, govern the association.

HACE was replaced by the Staff Assembly when that organization was approved by the Board of Visitors in 2010.
