Naval Training School (Chaplains) at William & Mary 1943-1945

There are plaques commemorating the Naval Training School (Chaplains) located in James Blair Hall inside the back door (facing Old Dominion Hall).

"IN THIS BUILDING / MARCH 1943 - NOVEMBER 1945 / THE NAVAL TRAINING SCHOOL / (CHAPLAINS) / TRAINED CLERGYMEN / OF ALL FAITHS / TO SERVE AS CHAPLAINS OF / THE UNITED STATES NAVY / THEY THAT GO DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS... / THESE SEE THE WORKS OF THE LORD / AND HIS WONDER IN THE DEEP"
