Littlebury Mason (1753-1803) was born March 7, 1753 to David Mason and Mary Eppes Mason; he married Rebecca Blunt January 20, 1783. February 9, 1776 Virginia Gazette, mentions "Littleberry Mason, attorney at law" as collector for the Gazette for Sussex, Brunswick, Lunenburg, Southampton and Mecklinburg Counties.  In addition, there is a Littleberry Mason who was a paymaster in the 15th Regiment of the Continental Army who served for three years, beginning in 1776. This record indicates he died August 4, 1832, which conflicts with the family history of a death date of 1807.3

Littlebury Mason (1753-1803) was granted a license to practice law "in the County and inferior Courts in this Colony [Virginia]" June 10, 1775 by John Randolph (1727-1784) and George Wythe (1726-1806).
