J. Wilfred Lambert (23 August 1906-11 May 1986) graduated from William & Mary earning a BA in 1927 and later returned as an instructor in psychology. He was a popular teacher and administrator throughout his 50 year career at William & Mary. He received the Thomas Jefferson Award in 1973. He was awarded an honorary degree in 1981 at Commencement.
